On Saturday, I saw an Audi R8 V10 and an Audi RS7, yet neither excited me as much as this gray beauty.
I still occasionally see S600s from this era, but 750iLs? Practically never. This is one of just two I’ve seen in the last decade.

I don’t think there a manufacturer that has wheels as consistently awesome as BMW

That looks drop dead gorgeous. I want it.

It was immaculate, apart for a little bit of dust on the wheels. I haven’t seen an E38 that pretty in 15 years.

Beautiful car. This particular one is a Y2K.

I don’t know if it’s a unicorn or not but I spotted a Suzuki Equator pickup the other day. I had never heard of it but I guess it’s based on the Nissan Frontier. Who knew?

Did they not offer the V12 in 2001? I was trying to figure out whether it was an ’00 or ’01.

I saw one the other week

I’ve seen two of them, ever. Unicorn for sure!

I believe they did offer it in 2001.

It’s gorgeous in dark colors. Here’s the other one I’ve seen in recent memory, spotted early last year. I can’t be sure, but I think it was one of the armored “Protection” models. The windows seemed oddly thick, and I don’t think it had a sunroof.

Please tell me it was this one!

I know a guy who had an E32 750iL, he was quoted $800 for a spark plug change.. and a 100k service was close to $5k. He’d only bought the car for $5k.
the E32's and E38's are still the cheapest V12's you can buy though.

I believe it. My VW’s 80K-mile service was $4,912, and I don’t even have a W12!

And there’s only like a 90% chance that its fake. It is at least an L though. My father had a e38 740iL back in the day and was good friends with the head mechanic. He used to tell him about a guy with a 740i that had 750iL badges on the trunk and M-B V12 badges on the C pillar and just behind the front wheels on the quarter panel. probably had a few V12 badges inside too.

Unfortunately not.

This was nowhere near that tacky.

yeah, you’d need to buy two so you could have one to drive while you were saving up to fix the other one.

well, yeah if its fake, its far more tasteful than what that guy did, but I suspect a large number of cars with badges indicating a V12 on BMWs & M-B are not really V12s. He does have the right wheels, but those are also the 740iL sport wheels.

I have a customer with a 750li protection. Monster of a car..

I get to see this one everyday, although it is a little older and rougher than the one you posted.

A lady around me drives a former diplomat’s 750iL protection spec around.

Definitely rare if it’s real! But if we’re talking v12 BMWs the E32 750iL has always been my drug of choice. I’m all about the taillights and the eighties-meets-nineties interior
